Remote Support Technician


An Altispeed Remote Support Technician provides enterprise level support to both residential customers and commercial clients. You will be responsible for creating a problem free IT experience for our clients. All team members of Altispeed regardless of position, desire to see open source solutions, particularly Linux, implemented wherever possible.



Responsibilities

  • Providing friendly, knowledgeable support in a variety of IT environments including both Windows & Linux.

  • Thoroughly document all work in a web based client management system..

  • Explain, design, and implement Open Source solutions.

  • Regularly check and respond to email.

  • Willingness and ability to think outside the box to provide creative cost savings solutions without sacrificing quality.



Required Skill

  • A person of good moral character.

  • Strong support and commitment to the open source community.

  • Strong technical background or strong willingness to learn.

  • Professional written and verbal skill.

  • Ability to explain highly complex technical problems and solutions in layman's terms to clients.

  • Familiarity with Windows & Linux or willingness to learn.

  • Familiarity with remote software, providing remote support.
